Three certificates acknowledged the newspaper as a whole: All State Silver Award for Online Newspapers, Fifth Online Website for General Excellence, Sixth Online Website Best of Show.&nbsp; The other three recognitions were for individuals' work last year. An editorial by Lindy Edstrom and Laura Johnson earned fifth place. First and second place sport photo awards were given to Bryson Felton.</div> <div class="gmail_default" style="color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-size: small; font-family: verdana, sans-serif;">Editors-in-Chief include Emma Conway, Aizlynn Thim and Zoe Jesh, News Editor, Marguerite Holes, and Photography Editor, Nathan Baszuro with advisor John Fogarty.<br> Make sure you read The Lantern. Last year alone, a total of over $80,000&nbsp;in teacher/staff requested grants were funded through the Cannon Falls Education Foundation. This included requests such as a vertical milling machine for the high school, ukuleles for the elementary school, various educational field trips including Eagle Bluff and Vertical Endeavors, new classroom furniture, a Kindness Retreat, Self-Defense Classes, and more!<br> As in recent years, the Ed Foundation is utilizing GiveMN's "Give to the Max Day" (held on November 14th) to enhance its pledge drive.&nbsp; GiveMN links donors with organizations that are working to make Minnesota a better place to live.
